The Kevin Sears’ Resume

National Association of REALTORS®

Kevin’s national experience is extensive, having served on several committees, work groups and PAGs for over a decade. He has been a Director for the National Association of REALTORS® since 2007, and serves as 2013 Chairman of the State and Local Campaign Services Committee. He is past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the RPAC Trustees Committee, and was Vice Chairman of the REALTOR® Party Coordinating Committee. Additionally, he is a past member of the Public Advocacy Advisory Group, and Political Communications, Political Involvement, and Commercial Committees. In 2008, Kevin was a graduate of the inaugural NAR Leadership Academy.

Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®

A REALTOR® since 1994, Kevin served as MAR President in 2010 and served on the state’s Leadership Team from 2007 through 2009 in the roles of President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, and Government Affairs Focus Vice President. For his dedication and volunteer efforts, in 2006 Kevin was named MAR REALTOR® of the Year. Kevin is currently serving his tenth term on the MAR Board of Directors. He is a Mass RPAC Trustee and also a member of the Building Lease PAG, the Building Task Force, the Convention PAG, and the Government Affairs Committee, a group he has served seven terms on, one of which as Chairman.

REALTOR® Association of the Pioneer Valley

A past President of his local association, he also is a former Treasurer and Secretary of the REALTOR® Association of the Pioneer Valley , and a past Chairman of its Finance, Government Affairs, and Strategic Planning Committees. He served as a member of several committees since 1994, and for his efforts, he received the 2006 REALTOR® of the Year for the REALTOR® Association of the Pioneer Valley.

Political Passion

Kevin has been politically active since childhood, having held signs for Sears’ family supported candidates as long as he can remember, and later running for local political office himself. He has served the REALTOR® Association as a Federal Political Coordinator to Congressman Richard Neal (D-Springfield) for over ten years. In 2011 Governor Deval Patrick named Kevin Chairman of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salesmen. He has been recognized as an RPAC Major Investor since 2004, has been a “Golden R” investor and member of the President’s Circle since 2007, and became a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame in 2012.

Community Involvement

Service did not begin and does not end with the REALTOR® Association. Kevin has been or currently is a member of Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, Forest Park Civic Association, the Rental Housing Association, and a Trustee for the Mason-Wright Foundation and Cathedral High School. Most important to Kevin has been his involvement with the Holy Name Athletic Association, where he has been coaching his children on their different little league teams.
